The March Symposium

We are honored to have Winnie Dunn, PhD, OTR, FAOTA, author of “Living Sensationally” as this year’s guest symposium speaker. Dr. Winnie Dunn is Professor and Chair of the Department of Occupational Therapy Education at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She is the leading authority and internationally recognized for her research about how people respond to sensory experiences in their everyday lives. Professor Dunn has published widely and her work on sensory processing includes development of measures, [the Sensory Profiles], which are used internationally.

We’ve had quite a number of parents and teachers approach us about whether this conference is aimed solely at occupational therapists. It’s not! We know that as a parent or teacher of a Sensory child, you want to understand as much about Sensory Processing Disorder as you can, and carry on the therapies they receive with their OT’s at home or at school.

This year’s symposium will feature a number of different seminars, lectures and will also give you the chance to ask questions and meet the community of individuals who are researching, teaching and caring for the important Sensory children in our lives.

For the OT’s interested in attending the conference, don’t forget that for every day of the conference you attend, you will earn 6.75 CEUs.
